About

Integrative Counseling & Wellness is dedicated to helping you:

  • explore your identity

  • tend to old emotional wounds

  • create a life that feels aligned and empowered.

Integrative Counseling & Wellness grew out of a simple belief: you deserve a space where all the parts of you are welcome. Many of the people I work with have spent years adapting to what others needed from them, while their own needs and feelings were pushed aside.

This practice was created as a place to slow down, notice what’s really happening inside, and move at a pace that feels safe. My approach weaves together evidence‑based therapy, relational warmth, and a deep respect for your lived experience.

Together, we’ll explore how your history, relationships, identities, and values fit together—so you can make choices that feel more aligned, grounded, and intentional in your everyday life.

Our Story

How I Work

Therapy with Integrative Counseling & Wellness is collaborative and client‑centered. I don’t see you as a problem to fix, but as a whole person with a story that makes sense.

In our work, we might:

  • Explore identity, culture, and the roles you’ve carried.

  • Gently unpack emotional wounds and patterns that keep showing up.

  • Practice new skills for boundaries, self‑compassion, and regulation.

The goal is not perfection. It’s a more honest, spacious relationship with yourself so your choices, relationships, and daily life feel more aligned with who you are.

Meet the Team

Kristina McIntyre is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of  Integrative Counseling & Wellness. She created this practice to offer therapy that honors the whole person - mind, body, identity, relationships, spirit, and lived experience.

She earned her Master's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2016, and has experience working across educational, medical, and recovery settings, including Special Education, skilled nursing facilities and transitional sober living programs.

In private practice, she works with adults, teens, couples,

and families navigating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship concerns, boundary work, and life changes. Her approach blends evidenced-based psychotherapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based strategies with integrative practices that support mind-body awareness.

She is also trained as a Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master and values holistic approaches when aligned with client goals. While her work is grounded in research-based treatment, she believes healing is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in authentic connection.

Clients often describe her style as warm, grounded and direct. She will sit with you in the difficult moments while helping you build practical tools, clarity, and confidence. She believes that even in struggle, there is always a spark and together, we can help you  reconnect with it. She serves clients in Nevada and Oregon through telehealth services.
